Recently, there has been controversy in the home mortgage market. A few short-sighted lenders offered loan products where the details were not fully disclosed to the borrower or where the risks involved in providing the loans were not properly assessed.

What you may not know is that most of the problems have now been corrected. Frankly, some “bad apple” loan officers and some very poorly conceived loan programs have bit the dust, which is a blessing for all of us. The good news now is that there are many safe, excellent mortgage loans available at historically low interest rates.

At this point I can’t simply ask you to trust me to handle your home mortgage and expect you to do so. I can only ask for the chance to get to know you and have you get to know me. Obtaining a mortgage loan can actually be a very smooth process and I’ve made many friends along the way as we’ve worked together to obtain home financing. Now days I am finding that I serve as an advisor more than anything else. I enjoy sitting down with a client to fully understand their situation and their needs. I like to explain the options and lay out the advantages and disadvantages of each option. It takes years of experience to fully understand all the loan programs available. I have that experience and I have worked hard to continually stay on top of all of the many changes.
